Daedalus Design and Production is a scenery fabrication and production services company based in Brooklyn. Founded in Red Hook in 2001 by James Robertson and Pierre Kraitsowits, the company quickly outgrew its original space and moved it’s operations to an 11,000-square foot building in the Greenpoint/Williamsburg Industrial Business Zone in 2005.

Daedalus builds and paints custom scenery and props for theater, television, retail, trade shows and film in addition to providing engineering and design services. The company currently employs a team of 25 highly skilled craftspeople, including welders, carpenters, scenic artists, draftsmen and project managers. Some of their recent projects include scenery for the Broadway production of Annie, the Signature Theater production of The Piano Lesson, a Fashion Week stage for designer Mathieu Mirano’s Fall/Winter 2013 collection and a forced perspective piano prop for the Broadway production of Spiderman: Turn Off the Dark.
